Mark Falvo - Band Director
Mr. Mark D. Falvo is a native of western Pennsylvania and is a band director at Canon-McMillan High School, Canonsburg, PA. Mr. Falvo serves as the 7-12 Music Department Head for Canon-McMillan School District. At the high school, he is Director of the Marching Band and Concert Band. He also teaches the Pan and Percussion Ensemble and several sections of American Popular Music. In the past, Mr. Falvo has taught Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Musical Pit and Brass Ensemble. Mr. Falvo has also previously served as president of the Washington County Music Educators Association. Prior to Canon-McMillan, Mr. Falvo taught at Bishop Ready High School, Columbus, OH and at Linton Middle School in the Penn Hills School District, Penn Hills, PA. Mr. Falvo earned his B.M.E. from Otterbein University and his M.M.E. From Bowling Green State University. Mark resides in Washington, PA with his wife Julia and children Caleb and Leah.
Eric Schrader - Band Director
Mr. Eric B. Schrader is a band director in the Canon-McMillan School District, Canonsburg, PA. At Canon-McMillan High School, Mr. Schrader serves as the Assistant Director of the Marching Band, as well as directing the Pan and Percussion Ensemble, Musical Pit, Jazz Band, and Symphonic Band. His ensembles have received consistent "Superior" ratings during his tenure at CMHS. The Canon-McMillan Pan and Percussion Ensemble had the honor of performing at the PMEA All-State Conference in 2022 and the Virginia International Pan Festival in 2024. He is also the assistant director at Canon-McMillan Middle School helping with the concert, symphonic, steel drum bands, and instrumental lessons. Prior to Canon-McMillan, Mr. Schrader taught in the Commodore Perry and Greenville Area School Districts. At Greenville, his High School Steel Drum Band performed at the PMEA AllStateconference in 2006 at Valley Forge and in 2010 in Pittsburgh. They also performed at the MENC All Eastern Festival in Providence, Rhode Island in 2009 and in Baltimore, Maryland in 2011. Mr. Schrader has served as guest conductor with the Lawrence High School County Band, Beaver County Senior High Honor’s Band, Washington County High School Band, Beaver County Junior High Honors Band and and twice with the Mercer County Junior High County Band Professionally, Mr. Schrader is an active member of the National Association for Music Education, Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, and the National Society of Steel Band Educators. In 2010, Mr. Schrader was inducted as a member of Phi Beta Mu, an international bandmasters fraternity. He earned a B.S. M. Ed., Magna Cum Laude, from Duquesne University, M.M. from Youngstown State University and additional credits from Penn State University. Eric resides in Washington, PA with his wife Lori, daughter Alexis, and Kiki the cat!
